PROVIDENCE — What does the blue economy mean for ordinary Rhode Islanders?

For US House member Gabe Amo, who represents Rhode Island’s First Congressional District, the question represents an opportunity and a challenge for the state.

The blue economy is about the state pouring resources into its “natural assets,” which include the ocean and the water that makes up its bays, Amo told the Globe in an interview on Thursday.
