BRISTOL, RI – TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) celebrated the $966,000 in federal Community Project Funding he fought to bring home for the Bristol Police Department. This money will fund upgrades to communication systems and help the Police Department better manage large community events, including the nation’s longest continuously running Fourth of July celebration.

WASHINGTON, DC – TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) and Chair Emeritus Michael McCaul (R-TX) led a letter signed by 148 Members of Congress requesting $1 billion in federal funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP). With faith-based organizations experiencing a dramatic increase in violence, this is the highest request for funding since the creation of the program.
