FY27 Community Funding

Listed below are the community project funding requests Congressman Amo submitted to the House Appropriations Committee for FY2027. 

Project Name: Cumberland Police Response and Investigation Modernization

Recipient: Town of Cumberland

Project Description: The funding would be used to procure three police utility vehicles, one K-9 police vehicle, one administrative van, one evidence-collection van, and one three-dimensional scene-scanning system.

Project Name: Providence Police Department Telecommunications Radio Upgrades

Recipient: City of Providence

Project Description: The funding would be used to purchase 187 portable radios, 203 mobile radios, and 5 radio consoles.

Project Name: Rhode Island Resiliency Center & Statewide Violence Response Initiative

Recipient: Family Service of Rhode Island

Project Description: The funding would be used to expand the Rhode Island Resiliency Center.

Project Name: Warren Police Department Interoperable Communications and Emergency Response

Project Description: The funding would be used to purchase an interoperable communication system, 4 police cruisers, 3 electric bikes, active shooter/critical incident training, and additional equipment.
