NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI – TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) delivered $500,000 in federal Community Project Funding to improve communication systems at the North Smithfield Police Department. The funds Amo secured will empower the Department to make critical updates to communication equipment, enhancing public safety in North Smithfield by upgrading outdated systems and improving real-time coordination among officers, regional partners, and the public.

WASHINGTON, DC – TODAY, U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse joined Congressman Gabe Amo in announcing $30,000 in National Endowment of the Arts funding for Newport Contemporary Ballet. This funding will support the Ballet’s annual Newport Dance Festival, which this year will explore the theme of freedom in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.
