Amo Statement on House Vote to Force Release of Epstein Files

November 18, 2025

Washington, DC – TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) issued the following statement on his vote to force the release of the Epstein files:

“For too long, Epstein’s heinous crimes against countless innocent survivors have been kept hidden by powerful men. In fact, Donald Trump could release the files today and provide the truth Americans deserve.

In Congress, too many Republicans have obfuscated and delayed at every turn, at the behest of a President found guilty of sexual abuse. Make no mistake, Epstein said Trump “knew about the girls.” Trump’s coverup is not an accident, but a willful scheme to keep his involvement with a convicted pedophile and human trafficker secret.

I voted yes to seek justice, ensure the truth sees the light of day, stand with the survivors, and make sure powerful people are held accountable for perpetrating abuse. The Senate should pass this bill immediately and the President should sign it promptly.”
