Amo Statement on the 1-Year Anniversary of the October 7th Attack

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Gabe Amo (RI-01) released the following statement marking one year since the October 7th attacks by Hamas in Israel: 

“On this solemn anniversary, I mourn the countless civilian souls lost from the violence and brutal bloodshed that has unfolded since Hamas’ savage terrorist attack on the people of Israel. The deep wounds left by the evil acts these terrorists committed are still fresh for the families who lost loved ones and remain in limbo awaiting the safe return of those in Hamas’ clutches — including American citizens.
 
“As we commemorate this fateful day, we must work towards a future where a permanent ceasefire can be secured so the Israeli and Palestinian people can live safely, with dignity, and in peace. Our commitment to the people of Israel and a better future for all remains unshakeable.”
