Amo Statement on Trump-Zelensky Meeting

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Gabe Amo (RI-01), Vice Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, released the following statement: 

“Somewhere in the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin is smiling from ear to ear watching Trump and Vance berate President Zelensky,” said Vice Ranking Member Gabe Amo. “This was one of the most unnerving displays that we’ve ever seen come out of the Oval Office. It is beyond words to witness a president side with a dictator over an ally who is fighting to preserve our shared ideal of democracy.”
