Vice Ranking Member Amo Blasts Republicans for Letting Trump’s Costly Iran War Continue

Washington, DC – TODAY, House Foreign Affairs Vice Ranking Member Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) issued the following statement on House Republicans' failure to stop Trump’s Iran war:

“Americans are paying the price for Republicans' cowardice. 

They just okayed Trump’s billion-dollar-a-day boondoggle in Iran, funded by your taxpayer dollars. Thirteen American service members have died in this illegal war, and hundreds more have been wounded.

And here at home, families are paying higher gas prices and higher costs on everyday goods because of Trump’s war.

Trump had other options. He chose war anyway. And at every turn, House Republicans have chosen to let Trump’s chaos continue. I will keep pushing to stop this war, force compliance with the law, and lower costs for the American people.”
