FY27 Community Project Funding
I am accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2027 Community Project Funding to support specific, worthwhile projects in Rhode Island’s First Congressional District. Project requirements may change at the discretion of the Republican House Appropriations Committee, including the potential cancellation of Community Project Funding.
For FY26, I secured over $11 million in funding for projects benefiting Rhode Island’s First Congressional District. A full list of FY26 projects can be found HERE.
For FY27, Rhode Island state government entities, municipalities, local government entities, and 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations can follow the process below to submit an application for Community Project Funding. For-profit entities are not eligible for Community Project Funding. Projects must be located in Rhode Island’s First Congressional District.
The deadline to submit a Community Project Funding request to our office for FY27 is 5:00 pm on Monday, March 9, 2026.
Only projects with demonstrated community support will be considered. Funding is for FY27 only. Federal programs may require a state or local match or cost-share for projects, which the House Appropriations Committee cannot waive.
Project requirements may change at the discretion of the Republican House Appropriations Committee, including the cancellation of Community Project Funding entirely.
I anticipate that our office will receive far more funding requests than we can fulfill. I expect Members of Congress can submit only 15 requests in total across all eligible Community Project Funding accounts for FY27. Please know that I cannot guarantee what will be funded or at what level, as final funding determinations are made by the Republican House Appropriations Committee.
We are here to help you identify other potential federal funding opportunities where available. Please reach out to my District Office to discuss your projects if funding is not made available through this year’s appropriations process.
