WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Environment Gabe Amo joined Ranking Members Zoe Lofgren and Emilia Sykes in sending a letter to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) demanding that the agency disclose their reduction in force (RIF) plans with the Committee immediately. Per the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) February 26th memo, the Trump administration is requiring that all federal agencies develop reorganization plans by March 13, 2025.

Providence, RI – U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressmen Seth Magaziner and Gabe Amo today called on Congress to defend Medicaid against ongoing Republican efforts to take health insurance away from millions of Americans.  With Women & Infants Hospital as the backdrop, Whitehouse, Magaziner, and Amo highlighted how Rhode Island moms and babies rely on Medicaid for pregnancy, childbirth, and family planning, among many other services from nursing home care to substance use disorder treatment.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Vice Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Gabe Amo (RI-01) blasted Republicans during a Subcommittee on Europe hearing for failing to address the most dire threat to European security — Russia's unlawful invasion of Ukraine. In addition, Congressman Amo highlighted Turkey’s hypocritical double standard in pushing back on Russia’s invasion of Ukrainian sovereign territory while simultaneously providing material support for Azerbaijan’s brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing in Armenia.

It was in December 2020 when Jaia Robotics co-founders Ian Estaphan Owen and Jason Webster set off on what Owen describes as an ambitious plan in the field of autonomous underwater vehicles and aquatic data collection. They kicked off product development on March 13, 2021 and had their first prototype in the water September 16, 2021 — all during the pandemic with nobody in the same office.
