Central Falls, Pawtucket & Providence, RI –  TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI), Ranking Member of the Environment Subcommittee of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, and NASA Astronaut Raja Chari visited Ella J. Risk Elementary School in Central Falls, Henry J. Winters Elementary School in Pawtucket, and the Brown University Planetary Education & Outreach Center to promote interest in science amongst students of all ages.

BRISTOL, RI – TODAY, Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) celebrated the $966,000 in federal Community Project Funding he fought to bring home for the Bristol Police Department. This money will fund upgrades to communication systems and help the Police Department better manage large community events, including the nation’s longest continuously running Fourth of July celebration.

PAWTUCKET, RI –  TODAY, U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI) joined Pawtucket Mayor Don Grebien, Police Chief Tina Goncalves, and Pawtucket city officials at Slater Park to unveil new vehicles and equipment for the Pawtucket Police Department.  Whitehouse secured a $335,000 earmark with Congressman Amo’s support to help the Pawtucket Police Department purchase two patrol vehicles, a transport van, and accompanying equipment.
