The Members are demanding answers about contract freezes that risks foreign aid expiring or being destroyed and wasting taxpayer dollars.

A tenth-grade student at Moses Brown School, Mr. Harris' submission will be featured in the halls of the U.S. Capitol. High school students from across Rhode Island's First Congressional District submitted artwork for consideration and a public vote was conducted on Congressman Amo's Instagram, @RepGabeAmo, to select the winner.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Gabe Amo (D-RI), Assistant Leader Neguse (D-CO), and Gun Violence Prevention Task Force Chair Mike Thompson (D-CA) led over 60 members of the Democratic Caucus in sending a letter to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, urging them to remove language that eliminates excise taxes on firearm silencers and deregulates their use under the National Firearms Act currently included in the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”

Nearly 460,000 veterans were diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries between 2020 and 2022, and there were 6,146 veteran suicide deaths in 2020.
