WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Gabe Amo (RI-01), alongside Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10), Congresswoman Jill Tokuda (HI-02), and Congressman Adam Schiff (CA-30) introduced the Destroy Zombie Guns Act (H.R. 7746), legislation to close the “zombie gun” loophole that has allowed gun disposal companies to only destroy one part of a gun before reselling the remaining parts as a kit that could be used in the next act of gun violence that devastates a community.

PROVIDENCE, RI – In an effort to help flood-stricken residents and communities that were damaged by major flooding in December and January, Congressman Gabe Amo, U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, and Representative Seth Magaziner announced that Rhode Island received a disaster declaration from President Joe Biden in the areas affected by a severe storm and flooding from December 17 to December 19, 2023 and January 9 to 13, 2024.
