PAWTUCKET, RI – Following his swearing-in on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this week, Congressman Gabe Amo (RI-01) addressed his colleagues, highlighting his inspiration for service to the people of the First Congressional District. Today, Congressman Amo is proud to announce that Dylan Sodaro will serve as Chief of Staff and Kate Michaud as District Director.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Amo took his first major vote on Tuesday night, joining a bipartisan coalition of House lawmakers who backed a short-term funding measure to keep the federal government operating past a looming shutdown deadline.

US Representative Gabe Amo is officially official. The newly elected congressman from Rhode Island’s First District was sworn into the US House of Representatives last night, becoming the first person of color to serve in the state’s congressional delegation.

WASHINGTON (AP) — New Democratic Rep. Gabe Amo, the first Black representative from Rhode Island in Congress, was sworn into office Monday.
