Back home in Rhode Island, U.S. Rep. Gabe Amo recently took to the road again – this time to highlight the state's "blue economy."

Flux Marine, a Bristol-based company that designs and manufactures electric engines for boats, met with Congressman Gabe Amo for the final stop of his “Blue Economy” tour on Tuesday. It was a big moment for a company that had only three people employed four years ago.

Congressman Gabe Amo has been in office for less than a year, so the list of legislation that he's introduced is still fairly short. It consists of a bill recognizing the First Rhode Island Regiment, America's first integrated military unit, and an amendment to a Republican-backed bill that sought to sanction the Chinese Communist Party.

“What it means is jobs,” said US Representative Gabe Amo, who is advocating for the state’s push to create an economy built around its reputation as the Ocean State.
